I played through Super Mario Bros Wonder in October 2023 when it first came out and was totally obsessed. It’s a 2D side scroll classic Mario game and so I made a point to master the whole game by getting all the badges. But the very last special level is insane since you have to use all the power-ups to complete each section. The very final section involves being invisible and jumping on balloons through clouds so you basically have to do it blind from muscle memory. I gave up.
But in March 2026 they came out with the Bellabel Park expansion and so I played through that as well. And after some final attempts I cracked the final original level to have a 100% completed the whole game with all 7 medals:
- Medal 1 (Defeat Bowser): Complete the final main story boss battle in Castle Bowser
- Medal 2 (All Wonder Seeds): Collect every single Wonder Seed across all regular, secret, and Special World levels
- Medal 3 (All 10-Flower Coins): Find all three purple 10-Flower Coins in every level
- Medal 4 (Top of Every Flagpole): Hit the very top of the flagpole at the end of every course
- Medal 5 (All Badges): Unlock and collect all badges including the expert “Final-Final Test Badge Marathon”
- Medal 6 (All Standees): Purchase all character standees from the Poplin Shops
- Medal 7 (Bellabel Park): Acquire every decoration and greeting for all the landmarks in Bellabel Park
